TOM SWIFT AND HIS
DEEP-SEA
HYDRODOME
by VICTOR APPLETON II
From the moment
Tom Swift finds himself tossed
about helplessly in an undersea geyser to his rendez- vous with imprisonment or
death at the hands of his enemies, the young inventor fights to overcome
incredible odds and obstacles in his latest daring project: drilling for
valuable helium gas in the depths of the sea.
Tom's revolutionary water-repel- ling machine makes possible the
construction of his hydrodome, an underwater city of derricks and tanks amid
the crushing pressures of the ocean floor. But the strange undersea mountain
that looms over Helium City is stalked by a phantom submarine that threatens
the subocean workers, and the entire world, with a banned neuro- toxin of
fantastic potency.
Tom struggles to uncover a ruthless spy and saboteur
with a grudge against the Swifts in a tale of high-voltage peril and suspense
that stretches from Swift Enter- prises to the shadowed floor of the
ocean deep.
